Live a Little with a Las Vegas Vacation
There's much more to Las Vegas than gambling. If you’ve never taken a Las Vegas vacation, I definitely recommend doing it at least
once in your life. A Las Vegas vacation can give you a sense of the glamorous life, offer some excellent shows, and let you experience some
fine dining. As long as you have some money to spend, you’ll generally be treated like royalty on a Las Vegas vacation.
To get the most out of your Las Vegas vacation, splurge a little. Get a nice room on the strip, see a few shows and visit some of the
attractions. For example, there's the Liberace museum, some truly cheesy wedding outfits, and of course, the Hoover Dam, which is not a far
drive. Even if you do not gamble, you have just got to check out the infamous strip. The hotels and casinos are awesome. Rent a
cab at night and have the driver give you a tour of the strip's skyline. It is almost surreal. It's just one of those things that you
have to see to truly appreciate.
Gambling can be a lot of fun too if that’s your thing, but just make sure you can afford to lose anything you gamble with. Stop when
you're ahead so you can enjoy some of the other activities that Las Vegas has to offer.
Even on the cheap, a Las Vegas vacation can be fun. It’s just one of those cities that you have to see in your lifetime. You don’t have to
stay in one of the big name casino hotel resorts. There are plenty of affordable hotels along the strip and in the "old" downtown part of
Las Vegas which has been renovated and now offers an entertaining light show.
Driving and trying to find parking spaces in Las Vegas can be a challenge. That why I personally like to rent a hotel on the strip when
I am booking a Las Vegas vacation. There is a lot to see within walking distance, and there is a regular schedule of busses that
go up and down the strip.
Allow for at least one fine dining experience while you are on your Las Vegas vacation. Some of the best restaurants in the world are
located in Las Vegas. Of course, there are also the buffets. Some are good; some give me an upset stomach.
If you'd like to have a few drinks, the casinos usually offer gratuitous drinks so long as your gambling. However, if you want to have an
evening out on the town, you need to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in Las Vegas.
There are more family activities in Las Vegas these days, with rides and other forms of entertainment for the kids. For me, however, I
like to drop the kids off with their grandparents so my husband and I can enjoy our Las Vegas vacation without worrying about entertaining
the kids.
