Set in Rural Arkansas, Homegoing chronicles the return of June Bug, a struggling musician, to his mother’s house after 15 years of absence. After his mother falls suddenly ill, he has no choice but to rush back to his roots, new wife and all, and face a family who have never met the man that he’s become. As the family tries to come to terms with June Bug’s new way of life, June Bug questions his long disconnection and who he has become.
Aimed at fostering community by giving new playwrights the chance to further their artists process, the Virgin Playwrights program will provide playwrights with actors, a director, a space, and an audience for the purpose of producing a one-night staged reading of their submitted work. The atmosphere of the readings will be one of comfort and leisure, where we feel the playwright can receive one-on-one responses and feedback from both the audience and the actors.

Set on the day following the fall of Troy, the survivors of the Greek victory must find a way to pick up the pieces of their shattered life, and attempt to make sense of the past ten years of war and destruction. The Trojan men and boys are dead, and the women must rise from the ashes to plot their course for the future. Busch Gardens Seeks Dancers, Singers, Musicians, Stage Technicians and Specialty Talents for 2009 Season
Dancers: You will be taught a brief dance combination at the audition.
Singers: prepare two songs of different styles. Singers: Prepare two songs of different styles.
Actors/Specialty Talents: Have a prepared comedic, family-friendly monologue.
Musicians: Prepare one or two short pieces of music. Musician applicants will be expected to sight read at the audition.
Stage Technicians and Stage Managers: Bring a resume of related experience and any letters of recommendation that you may have. Technician applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
