What are some wonderful careers with animals?

The job that most people think of would be a veterinarian. This is certainly one of the more respected careers with animals. Not only are you working with pets, horses and other animals on a daily basis, but you are literally their doctor. A veterinarian's assistant is also a possibility if you don't want to spend years in college. To become a veterinarian, you will need a bachelor's degree and will also need four years of college in a veterinary school.  You'll also need to become licensed by taking oral and written exams.

Another one of the various careers with animals you could choose is that of a zoologist. It might be fun to work with lions, tigers, and bears at the zoo. It definitely sounds better than sitting in an office cubicle all day long. Again, like a veterinarian, you are looking at a lot of extra college education before you will be qualified.

A career with animals might also be pet sitting.  Many people who travel need someone to look after their pets.  You might have your own kennel where people drop off their pets, or you might travel to your clients' houses and take care of their pets.  Many times, dogs and cats feel safer in their own environment instead of a kennel, so being a pet sitter will let you drive around to a many different places to make sure the pets have food, water and are happy.

If you think that careers with animals sound like something you would like to do, get started today by learning about the different jobs that are available and the amount of college education that you will need. You might want to get a part time job with a local vet or pet sitter to see if you like working with animals.
