Pest Control Supplies Make for a Happy Marriage

My wife and I love our home.  We love our yard, garage, and trees.  My wife, however, does not love the pests that come with home ownership, so I budget for pest control supplies along with the mortgage.

When I think of pests, I think in general terms, such as insects and rodents. My wife has this fine tuned and honed into spiders, snakes, mosquitoes, mice, rats, gophers, beetles, cockroaches -- she says if it's not cute, it's a pest.  Thankfully, she thinks I'm cute!

I guess I'm more practical than she is.  I could care less how ugly the pests are, but I don't want any of my family exposed to West Nile Virus from mosquitoes, and I don't want my dog or cat to have to deal with fleas.  That's why I keep a variety of pest control supplies on hand.

How do you know if need  some pest control supplies? Maybe you have mice in your walls, or rats in the garage. You might have an army of ants marching through your kitchen.

Organic and Chemical Pest Control Supplies Offer Choice

Because we have youngsters that my wife and I do not want exposed to toxic chemicals, I try to find the organic types of pest control supplies.  Some of them are citrus based.  I've been reading about Neem, which is named after a tree in India, that controls hundreds of different varieties of pests and insects.  For mice, my cat seems to be the best pest control around.  Another good pest control supply that I keep around is a good stock of sonic pest controllers. They look like night lights; you plug them in and they emit a sound that is supposed to ward off rodents, insects and other pests.  Humans and domestic pets do not hear anything, but bugs hate the sound.

For some reason I have not been able to get rid of spiders and ants using natural pest control supplies.  During periods of drought, these nasty things seem to gravitate to our house, leaving my wife in perpetual fear.  She absolutely hates spiders and has nightmares about them if she happens to see one in the house.  In this case, I had to get some chemical bug killers.
