A No Bark Dog Collar Zaps Your Dog Into Silence

Our son and daughter and law were gifted with a puppy for their wedding seven years ago.  That puppy has grown into a very large dog of questionable breed.  Whenever we visit them, the dog hears us as we pull up into the driveway and barks and barks and barks. Last night, we pulled up to the house and there was complete silence. My husband and exchanged glances as we walked up to the door, hoping that the dog had not died.  We soon found out that the dog was indeed alive and well...It had just been fitted with what our son called "a no bark dog collar."

It seems that our son and daughter and law were getting a lot of complaints from their neighbors about the dog's barking and the police had showed up several times because of these complaints. The dog had sentimental value since our son and daughter in law had it since they were married, so rather than giving the dog up or keeping it locked in the house, they decided to try out a no bark dog collar.

How the No Bark Dog Collar Works

The idea behind the no bark dog collar is that it attaches at the dog’s vocal chords and gives the dog small shocks to get its attention and keep it from barking. Because it uses a combination of vibration detection and sound detection to  shock the barking dog, the collar is sophisticated enough to know when another dog is barking and will not zap your dog by mistake.

Our son told us it took awhile for their dog to get used to its no bark dog collar.  Every time the dog would start to bark, it would immediately stop and whimper a little. It took about a week for the dog to figure out that it would get shocked if it barked.  

Since they purchased the no bark dog collar, our son and daughter in law have had better relations with their neighbors.  However, they are usually caught unawares that someone is in the yard or driveway since their dog is now quiet.
