by Daniel Wright

Vintage Coca Cola commercials, print advertising, and promotional items chronicle our times and are some of the most appealing advertising art ever created. The Coca-Cola Company has attracted some of the top artists and illustrators for their advertisements through the decades including Norman Rockwell, Jim Harrison, etc.

Since the 1930's, the magazine National Geographic has published Coca Cola prints on their back covers for seven months out of the year. On the months of February, April, June, July, August, October, and December, these special advertisements for the soft drink company would appear. Created by renowned artist within each era, these vintage images are now collectable works of art. Haddon Sundblom's December images are the most highly prized of the collection, depicting jolly St. Nick with his Coca Cola beverage.
